STAR 2007 Annual Convention October 11-13, Boston, MA

2007 STAR Boston

I've been a member of STAR for many years and I finally made it to a convention. It was well worth the 439 miles (and 1 tank of gas!) from both the educational (good seminars) and networking (meeting new people and spending time with good friends) perspectives. Here's three of the many highlights of the weekend:

Hi Marge,

I have been thinking of a change in career. A lot of schools advertise an associates degree in court reporting. I have been wondering can you actually get work with just a certificate in New York or is it impossible? Dictation of 220 words seems impossible for some students; what can you advise me on the subject if anything? I understand that you are not someone affiliated with a school, but I always keep in mind that schools are in the business of making money. Thank you for help.
